Over the years, we have talked to many business owners with existing websites built using the content management system (CMS) – Wix. Wix offers a website-building platform that takes a lot of the heavy lifting out of the equation when it comes to building and publishing websites. In the past, and continuing today, we often provide help by rebuilding a new WordPress website from scratch, tailored to the exact needs of the business. In our opinion, WordPress will always win the contest over Wix in terms of what can be achieved in a customized way. That has never changed.
That being said, Wix is a very popular platform people use to get their websites off the ground. The prospect of getting a website up and running, only to start from scratch, even with the help of a professional web design agency, can seem daunting. Another thing we discovered is that many business owners with Wix websites encounter challenges that can be solved with their current CMS. However, lacking the time or expertise, they quickly seek another solution to replace what they feel is no longer working for them.
Sometimes, the best way to solve challenges for website clients is to figure out how to use what you already have. Wix is here to stay. Although we prefer to create comprehensive web solutions with WordPress professionally, we recognize that we have missed opportunities to partner with individuals seeking website assistance who may not initially view WordPress as a viable solution.
